If you have ever wanted to learn how to play the drums but thought it would be too difficult... think again. You see when you view something as difficult it is usually because you are looking at the achievements of someone else and how they do any particular thing. In this case play the drums.
Of course it will take time to learn how the greatest players play but that should be your focus if you are serious. Instead, you should focus on the first step only, then the second, then the third and so on. That way you avoid becoming overwhelmed as well as the possibility of giving up or even never getting started. The important thing is to take the first step. And that's the only step you should concentrate on until you have mastered and fully understood the step in question.
Then and only then should you move onto the next step, then the next and so on.
I have created a post that breaks everything down into three steps. You can read about that here.
Remember the most important thing is that you get started. Then become a problem solver as you solve the problems of not being able to do something whilst in the process of learning how to do those things.
